eric nielsen
Got the Champ's video of his 2002 season. Showed parts of it at our Friday Nite Fun Shoot. People found many interesting things on this tape. A few: 1. The stages. This whole tape is stages, with little instruction or commentary. A lot of the action just speaks for itself. In Europe they set things up very differently than in the USA. In the forest, no backstop. Across open fields, stacks of tires for backstops. Inside medieval castles, more tires. Stage designers will find the tape VERY interesting. 2. The kid is pretty good at everything. On standards, his splits & transitions are all the same. On one-target-at-a-time field courses, his splits are quick. Incredible vision. Incredible body control. 3. He NEVER EVER breaks the relation between gun, shoulders, and hips. A lot like TGO teaches. Points his whole body at each target. 4. Presentation to the target: High, flat, and fast. A lot like we've seen on the Burner Series. By downloading MPG's, I had a sniff of an idea that other countries have some tough, interesting matches. This VHS is more like trying to drink from a firehose - a lot more information. Worth the $45 for me anyway. dvc - eric - a28026
