Para LDA grip safety

my LDA 18-9 came with an unworkable grip safety. My high grip simply doesn't disengage it. Now, I hate just completely deactivating it (I am planning on using it as carry gun, too, plus some competitions don't let you deactivate safeties), and was planning to *sensitize* it the way you do it on a regular 1911 (file off a bit from the top of the little protrusion that blocks the trigger). Big surprise: The LDA grip safety works not at all like a regular 1911 one! There's a plethora of little parts and springs that all look very fragile, and I put it back in horror.

How do you *sensitize* (i.e. not deactivate completely) an LDA grip safety?

I replaced the MSH on mine. The little ears were over sized so the GS didn't work at all. I filed the ears down to get it working. I guess that would be the ticket. Mine doesn't take a whole lot of forward movement to deactivate it now. I don't remember which MSH manufacturer I used. Ordered it through Brownells. It is an Arched SS. Might have been Masden?
