Calamity Jane
I'm considering learning how to box. Not kick box! Just put on boxing gloves and punch people type of boxing. I'm looking for a gym in my area to teach me this skill. I think it might be good core training, good hand and eye coordination training, make me stronger for shooting, and help me train mentally where I'm weak. I'm trying to use the web to search out a gym and I keep getting martial arts schools. I've tried martial arts. I don't like people I don't know punching me and stopping two inches in front of my face...it only makes me want to hit them. So if I want to hit them anyway....I should be boxing. ANYWAY....these are the words I used to do my search "sport boxing gyms" "boxing" Could someone give me a clue on how to find a gym??
XRe
http://www.boxinggyms.com/addresses/indiana.htm ?? I Googled "boxing gym austin, tx" and found this link that way.... IIRC, Henning trains for boxing as a big part of his fitness regimen. Sounds like good stuff Here's another list: http://www.boxinghelp.com/indiana.html Edited September 13, 2007 by XRe
Jake Di Vita
While you are searching for a gym...you better start jump roping. You're going to be doing a ton of it when you find a boxing trainer.
