Scooter
You can't blame Detroit for everything. Detroit has to predict at the minimum 3 years ahead of time what people will want to buy. When gas was still under $2.00, no one cared about buying fuel efficient vehicles and their marketing forecast showed that so they haven't really focused on building fuel efficient vehicles. More effort was concentrated on things like cup holders that can adjust to every cup out there. With the sudden shift in gas prices and consumers looking for more fuel efficient vehicles, they ended up behind the curve. If gas prices were to suddenly drop to $1.00/gal, in about 3 years, there would be a bunch of fuel efficient cars that no one would buy.
Front Man
As much as I hate the price of fuels, it is still cheaper by the gallon than a gallon's worth of bottled water. FM
