Rufus The Bum
When I disassembled my 625, I noticed the guts were bare steel and a couple were very poorly blued. Would hard-chroming the guts be a reasonable suggestion instead of bluing? What about trigger work, how would hard-chroming affect finished (polished) surfaces? I think I once read that hard chroming requires the guns to be tuned afterwards because it add's just a little layer of chrome that might cause parts to drag on each other. SRT Driver
Metalife hard chromes the lock work. I had several M10's done back in my PPC days and they were really smooth. Alan Tanaka / AT Custom in Ca does this. I do not know if the action job is done differently since hard chrome adds very little.
