xdrocker
Gonna stick a a threaded barrel/comp in an edge (40) and play in open from time to time. Looking on SV's website they have a threaded barrel all ready, wouldn't it fit a STI. I know, I know, about all the things I'm sacrificing with 40 in open and not having a dedicated open gun. I don't make a living doing this and never will, as long as it will FFEE and hit where I am aimimg I am happy. Thanks for your time and advice. uscbigdawg
Be patient and look around the classifieds. Often enough there is someone selling a seperate upper. Go with that rather than a barrel swap. Rich
HSMITH
Lately I have used a couple KKM threaded barrels and Bedell titanium comps. I am thrilled with the comps, and the KKM barrels shoot absolutely lights out. They ARE a bit harder to fit up than a Schuemann or a Kart, but not so bad as to be a real problem. I agree with Rich too, about another upper. A slide (fitted) will only add $300 or so to the cost, then figure another$300 for an Optic mounted. The optic is more beneficial to shooting than the compensator IMO. If you can get an open top end built for a grand jump on it, that really is what it is going to cost..
