Bear23 Posted March 27, 2007 Share Posted March 27, 2007 I've got a shorty SV 38sc Can i just install my 38 super aftec in it... I tried and it appears longer than the 38sc variety of Aftec. Your smith may have trimmed the nose of the existing extractor rather than cut a relief in the barrel (I'm not a smith - but... the relief in the barrel is apparently the preferred way to do it??). I'll check the 38 super and fit and finish it to the super comp aftec. Its an SV nitride coated barrel, maybe that's why they didn't cut a relief. Good Going at the DTC Dave!!! That should work - be aware that doing so might void your warranty on the extractor. Used to be that way - I don't know if Derek's changed that policy, or not...
