bigbrowndog
i've been thinking about trying the beretta 87 target pistol for team challenge and steel challenge, i'd like to know if anyone has experience with it. accuracy? good trigger? reliable mags? reliable gun? i've used a ruger, smith 41, browning, and marvel.....they're all good and bad. i'm just looking for some pre-spending info, that can't be found in a brochure. trapr

bigbrowndog
what was the poundage before....massaging what kind of groups can you get @ 50yds / scope or irons trapr
Steve Anderson
I believe the triggers were in the 4-5 range before, I've never shot any 50 yard groups with them, that's not what I bought them for. Kyle and I were dinging a 12" steel offhand out to 120 yards one day and it was getting boring...that was with the c-more gun. SA
Flexmoney
Yep. As I mentioned in the other threads, it's a kick ass steel challenge gun. I don't know if it shoots tight groups or not. I do know that I can hit anything with it that I can see. The grip is a touch small, but you get to start Steel Challenge at low-ready...with the gun already gripped. (I don't know anything about Team Challenge.) I run the local Steel Challenge match. I let those reshooting with a .22 do so for free...which helps get the numbers up. Most rimfires have issues running. That 87T runs better than anything else I have seen.
bigbrowndog
thanks guys......what would you compare the grip to, when you say smallish. a ruger has a relatively small grip in circumference, or did you mean length. could you put a tape measure to it and give me circumference and length? trapr
