rubberneck
Nothing like driving 70 miles to a match, paying the match fee and only shooting two stages because your properly tuned, high quality extractor doesn't feel like playing nice. It was a nice day to shoot too. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way, next time I bring a spare. Edited June 11, 2006 by rubberneck
HSMITH
The EXACT same thing happened to me this weekend, only it was 140 miles each way the entry was $85..... Sent Chuck an order this afternoon for a small pile of spare parts, and will get the rest of the small parts for the gun rounded up soon. I figure if I have some of the parts with me I will know which ones won't break, no way will it be a part that I have a spare of that breaks!!! I plan to have everything short of a barrel, slide, and frame in my spare parts bag in the next month or two. Then I will scratch up the money for the frame, slide and barrel to turn into a spare gun just like my match gun, that should make mid-match repairs a lot easier. AlamoShooter
Well How about 1,000 miles to shoot the Colorado state shoot? It let me practice up on my face JF
