North
I don't have a chrono. There I admited it. 2 years ago when I started reloading and shooting USPSA. I loaded several differant recipes based on loading data, I shot them and picked one I liked. I gave my gun to a buddy with some of my reloads to chrono. I thought I was shooting around 180 with my 1911 45ACP. Fast forward 2 years, Made "B" class L10; decide to trade in the 230 grain RN for 200 LSWC. Load up a few, same powder i figure if 4 grains gives me 790fps with 230 lrn, 4.3 graines should easily make the 825fpr for the 165 PF. Loading manual show the same load of 4 grains for 800 fps with both 200 and 230 grain lead bullets. Today different buddy with a new PACT chrono, the XP. 2 seperate 10 shot strings reveiled 950 to 960 fps for a 190 PF. I think how can that be, so I happen to have some of my 230 grainers, shot them = 855fps or 196.6 PF. Hopefully when I get my PF down to a 170ish PF I will feel the differance. My own chrono is at the top of my to bay list. Edited May 7, 2006 by North
spook
Not cool FWIW, it's better than the other way around. You'll be shooting powder puff loads once you're at
