Ron Ankeny
I didn't feel like doing my regular dry fire routine this morning, so I set up the video camera instead. I have been working on the reload a little (too little I am afraid) and I have a reload that is relaxed and comfortable, and it seems to suit me well. If I bring the pistol back and drop it down ever so slightly, the natural angle my left arm makes with the mag well is spot on and the mag slips right in. The timer is set at one second and my reaction time runs around .20 on par (getting old). I have no idea what the clunking around noise is after the reload, unless it's the magazine bouncing around on the floor. The reload isn't my fastest, but it's repeatable. My reload. Matt Cheely
I'm not liking the flick with your wrist. But what do I know? Edited March 20, 2006 by Matt Cheely
Jake Di Vita
Ron, Looks pretty good bud. Do me a favor...try getting your weakhand on the new mag a little bit faster. Think of it as a wet towel snapping down to the mag. Probably cut anywhere from .1 - .2 off your reload.
Ron Ankeny
Matt: That flick is a habit I developed from shooting a dozen different guns across 4 divisions to ensure an empty magazine doesn't hang up. Jake: I'll shift my focus to getting to the magazine and see how that work out. The biggest change is I am not dropping my elbow nearly as low as I used to.
