The Second Annual Badger Trekker Run-n-Gun, August 31, 2024, Sullivan, WI (near Milwaukee)

The first BT RnG was an overwhelming success, so we're going to do it again.  To see what we're all about, take a look at our 2023 FaceBook page, here.

Think of Run-n-Gun as kind of the next step beyond USPSA, or IDPA, or 3-Gun, or..., or..., Competitors are required to carry a rifle and pistol through a 5K or 10K course, rain or shine, up and over or under obstacles, and engage targets from point-blank to 300 yards, possibly within the same stage, from uncomfortable shooting positions, while tired, physically exhausted, and possibly cold & wet. This is an "outlaw" event, and as such, 100% of the profits go to the Oconomowoc Sportsman's Club.

Our 2023 FB page has awesome pics from two professional photographers and a ton of commentary.

Our 2024 FB page is new and a lot of information is coming. Stay tuned to the 2024 page for information.

Bravo Company has once again stepped up as a Match Sponsor. BCM has been a strong supporter of OSC for years now, and has supported The BT RnG since the beginning, so thanks to Paul, Troy, and the staff of BCM. They are also very strong supporters of the police, especially my former agency. I've been using BCM rifles exclusively for training and Run-n-Gun for over 15 years.

Krate Tactical has jumped onboard again. I bought one of Mike's OTF knives at the 2023 Heartbreak Run-n-Gun in Kentucky and have been carrying it almost daily since then. It's lightweight and handy, and I'm very happy with it.

Defense Mechanisms has signed on again as a partner. DM is based in Winona, MN, and they specialize in plate carriers, belts, insulated apparel, and pouches that are designed to meet the demands of military, law enforcement, and outdoor enthusiasts. Much of DM's gear is hand made in Winona, Minnesota.

Thanks to Jesse and Staff at DM for supporting us for the second year in a row.

Stay tuned as we have more on the way......

Safariland has joined in the fray as a sponsor.

I was issued a few different Safariland holsters in my 25 years, and based on personal experience, I trust their holsters to work as designed in dynamic circumstances, both on and off duty.

When it came time to spend my own money for USPSA and Run-n-Gun holsters, I didn't look anywhere else.

Thanks to Philip and Safariland.

....aaaand support from Safariland continues to roll in.  These bags are high-quality kit, and three competitors will snag one from the table.  Thanks again Philip and Safariland!

More gear from Safariland just arrived. I've taken the liberty of fingering one just a little bit. (G-rated fingering...mostly...) These belts are high-quality kit.  Safariland has been extremely generous.  Make sure to spend some money on their website.  I most certainly will!

We sold out in 45 minutes this year.  That was quite a surprise to all of us, considering it took about four weeks last year to sell out.  I guess we put on a pretty good show!

We have several new sponsors since my last update:

For the best coffee on the interwebs, Full Metal Java is the ticket.  FMJ is back for their second year in supporting the BT.  (And if you don't drink their Back the Blue, YOU ARE WRONG!!)

New for this year is Steel Tank Brewing. A mere two exits east on I94 in beautiful Oconomowoc, WI.  A bunch of RO's ate dinner there after BT '23, and your friendly MD's have eaten there many times since. They always take great care of you with beer made on site, awesome food and perhaps even live music.  Stop by & check them out, and make sure to mention The Badger Trekker sent you.

UPI Manufacturing is a local metal fabricator who has given a lot of support to the club over the years.  This year they are new to the Badger Trekker.  Welcome aboard, and Thank You for the support!

Many of us have done business with Graf's for years if not decades.  Another new for 2024 sponsor.  Thank You for your support!  Now go spend money on their website!!

Who hasn't heard of Sierra Bullets? The Badger Trekker crew makes an annual mandatory stop at the Sierra factory in Sedalia, MO when enroute to the Zombie Run.  Thanks Duane and Sierra!

MD Randy says: "I am excited to announce MantisX has signed on as a Silver Sponsor this year and will be providing one of their X10 Elite’s. Their lastest model not only tracks your press, it also tracks your draw and recoil. I like to run mine on a mag base plate so it can go in the holster without any hassle. I will 3D print a couple base plate pic rails to go with it."

Thanks to MD Will and his decades of experience.  He has once again brought Krieger Barrels onboard.

SafeSide, LLC Precision Reloading is onboard once again.  Another of MD Will's connections.  Lynn has a pretty impressive resume and decades of reloading and shooting experience.

Andy at Rapid Defense is making a name for himself in the training community, and he's also an integral part of the BT staff.  He brings in outside trainers to several ranges in SE Wisconsin, and most of the BT staff, myself included have taken his classes.

Another member of the BT staff and RnG shooter, Shawn at Str8line Apparel is making our shirts this year and will probably be making other custom BT goodies.
