Just posting a useless update since I saw this thread update. I had zero issues with the stock mag release and have zero issues with the DisDef mag release… I was talking to them a while ago and they were debating making a mag release that also fixed the over insertion issue, but haven’t heard from them since.

I also have this same exact issue on my rival-s (manufactured 10/23).  Been trying to work with Canik to address the issue.  They sent a new mag release which fixed the issue, but after putting like 300 rds of blazer 124 grn through it, the issue is back.  Next Canik, polished the feed ramp and changed base plates, which didn't do anything to address the issue.  Definitely seems to be a Canik issue.  

 

How's the disruptive defense mag release catch been holding up?
