986 dovetail front sight

I want to change the front sight on a 986 pc 2.5” barrel , it is a dovetail front sight. 
 

does anyone have the dovetail dimensions of the vcomp front sight or know if it’s the same as the 986?

 

I measured the 986 front .380w x .100d and appears to be 60°

 

dawson makes a sight for the 627 vcomp, I emailed Dawson for dimensions but only got back, “it won’t fit”
