I've only been shooting about 6 or 7 years but I've been intensively training the whole time. My first firearm was a Colt .38 Special, Officer's Model Target with 6" barrel, that I inherited from my dad. I had it a year (without ever shooting it) before I decided to get some training so I wouldn't be "that guy". Fast forward to the present time, I still have my dad's Colt .38 Spcl, but I also have 7 Glocks (say anything you want, but I like them), a couple of AR15's and a Mossberg 12-gauge. Past 3 years most of my training has been tactical self-defense at Central State Training Group in Pretty Prairie KS. I was out there yesterday for an introduction to sniper-style rifle shooting. I've been aware of Brian Enos for years now, I have his book (excellent) and I just found this forum. I hope to learn as much as I can here.
