tekno
I am thinking of buying a revolver for IPSC shooting. I think the 325PD looks cool, but is the lightweight scandium/titanium durable? Is the gun to light (with regards to recoil etc.)? The few revolvers I see at matches are all 5" 625's. Any thoughts and/or recommendations are appreciated! hopalong
Tekno, Go to the Revolver forums, Much information there. What I have heard about the 325 is it is so light it is uncomfortable to shoot. Hope that helps, good luck. I recomend the 625 or a nice 25-2. tekno
Go to the Revolver forums, Much information there. I was unsure where to post, but figured since I'm only interested in feedback with regards to IPSC shooting this was the spot?
RogerT
Hei tekno. You're right, this is the spot and in the Revolver section of it you will find more posts and info about IPSC and revolvers. I'm glad to hear there is a growing interest towards IPSC revo shooting in Norway. We are not that many in the northern regions that shoot revo's, but at this years swedish championships we were 12 shooting Revolver Standard and two of them from Norway. I'm quite happy with my 625, 5 inch barrel.
Carmoney
Tekno, I agree that a 5" 625 is perhaps the best choice for IPSC (avoid the Model of 1988 unless you can thoroughly test-fire it first, they are known to be problematic). Another very viable option is to find a nice tight 25-2 with a 6" or 6.5" barrel, and replace or grind the target trigger/hammer. Mike
