BigLucky
I know that a couple of you San Angelo guys hang out here. I have a few questions for you. When are your matches? And what range do you shoot at in San Angelo? Is the range available to the public on non-match days?
Wakal
http://www.sanangelogunclub.org/ Our range is available to the public on non-match days. Hell, it is available on match days Dues are $65 per year, for which you get a key to the gate and the admonishment not to shoot the Portajohns. As you come through the gate, you will see a 200 yard rifle range, a 100 yard rifle range, and another 100 yard rifle range. Follow the road around the side berm of the 200 yard range to the pistol complex, which has 14 bays of various (100 yard to 15 yard) length. Our USPSA pistol matches are on the fourth Sunday; pistol (five stages) at 1300, and either one rifle and one shotgun or one multigun stage at 1100 (kind of like a warm up ). The third Sunday, the usual suspects are up in San Angelo North (which some call Coleman http://www.geocities.com/colemangc/ ), at their USPSA pistol match at 1300 (with one shotgun stage available for fun, starting at 11). There are some rifle matches (small group, varmit, and .22), and before I got to be so lazy I used to run SASS matches. A bunch of us are trained as IDPA SO's, but since the only folks who would shoot it are the same folks who are already shooting IPSC, we don't run 'em very often Yours, Alex
