rtr
The primer feed bar on my 550 seems to not work so well, it often will not pickup a new primer, or will get stuck back. It seems the cause of all this is that it doesn't travel rearward far enough to pickup a new primer. I don't shortstroke the machine and I try to really push the handle down hard so as to get the primer bar back as far as possible. Cleaning the underside of the primer bar and the little metal shim doesn't seem to change things. Additionally I have a .45 case ontop of the primer follower. Any ideas? Vlad
Clean the primer magazine tube. Mine had a bunch of crud piled up on the inside walls slowing down the primers to makeing them fall at add angles.
Overkill
That sounds about like what mine was doing. See my post in the other thread about shiming up the plate under the primer bar.
