faustulus
We pretty much follow the rules which make sense and discard the rest. For my main club it is mainly about shooting. Uncle Mikes are fine for us, because we want people shooting and the Uncle Mikes Kydex allows them to do it with little start up costs.
kevin c
The main exception allowed at our club is the holster rule re "daylight". We are pretty much in compliance on other rules. The revolver rules are a nonissue, as our competitors shoot autos to the last shooter. Many of our shooters come from other IDPA clubs and are in complete compliance. It's mostly that we don't insist on checking holsters for compliance. New shooters are told what HQ expects, now and next year, and what will be expected equipment wise if they go to a major IDPA match.
