BCM KMR ?

I have been looking for a used BCM Kmr rail. not to sound stupid . But there are two kinds Alpha and the other . Alpha is about 2oz heavier. the question is how do I tell them apart . do they say alpha?

On the left at the barrel nut end, the "A" preceding the 15 (length) designates that it is an Alpha. A non-Alpha would read BCM-KMR-15.

I hear that the original KMRs had a problem with the alloy being too soft and bending, so, they switched to a more traditional aluminum alloy.

I think you are correct .  but I thought they fixed the problem .
