The beauty of my recipie is that (actually, it is my dad's ) is that if you sprinkle the flour over the sausage and then cook it, there is almost no chance of lumps, period. Some folks will mix the flour or gravy mix (yuk) into the milk before mixing with the sausage and that's where lumps come in.
