johnbu
Ok. I'm a newbee. Shot a first uspsa field course today. Previously did a 6 classifier as the first ever exposure to uspsa, got a low C. So, I'm not horrid, but green as green can be! Anyway, 2nd stage started unloaded, just outside the area. Plan was all set, eyes on the target....BEEP! Step in, draw and grab a mag, flip out a second one while grabbing the first one. Thing hit my leg, must have a mental reset button there because EVERYTHING went white. Couldn't figure out who was throwing a mag at me, then realized it was mine, then tried to remember what I was supposed to do next. Moved left....plan was to go right. Then it went down from there as I was wondering if I had enough ammo without the full one I'd tossed initially as it was a pretty long stage with steel. Got through it (slowly), but failed to engage one paper target. Turns out....I hate forgetting to engage targets! But I REALLY hate fubar-ing myself by doing something dumb and totally avoidable!
