Linkscoach
I picked up a like new 229-1 with Siglites on it. I would like to keep the tritium front that's on it but the rear sight is really distracting. It is shooting point of aim. What all black rear sight could I put on it that will work with the stock front and keep my POI?
taadski
Dawson's (my personal favorites) are out b/c of height compatability with the stock front. Heinie's are out b/c of height. Warrens are also out if you want the same height relationship. Ameriglo is a good bet to jive with your #8 (.160 tall) front. They make an all black #8 rear. Model shows as SG-402. Another option would be to get a stock #8 Sig sight. I have one kicking around somewhere and would send it to you gratis. I'm on the road (vacation) for another week though. Linkscoach
Well crud. Might have to rethink it then. The Ameriglo you listed doesn't look terrible though. I had Defoors on my Glocks for awhile and thought they worked okay for me. Thanks for the help.
JAFO
I realize this post is somewhat old, but personally I like to black out the dots on my rear tritium sights with a Sharpie. It will wear off over time, but it's easy to reapply and you don't have to swap sights.
