ArrDave
I traded into a gun, I don't care to re-buy parts if they're already there, but I'm curious if my model has an extended firing pin already. is there any tell tale way to visually ID to know? I can pull the pin and measure it, if that helps, but I don't know what the dimension should be. Thoughts?
kneelingatlas
The lengths vary by manufacturer and age, but for a visual I simply lock the slide open and push the back of the firing pin to flush with the back of the slide and look at the breech face; the factory pin doesn't protrude past the breech, but the extended one does. ArrDave
How much should it stick out? Just barely? Sent from an iDevice. Please forgive any grammatical or spelling errors.
