How do I tell if I have an extended Firing pin in a Non FPB gun?

I traded into a gun, I don't care to re-buy parts if they're already there, but I'm curious if my model has an extended firing pin already. is there any tell tale way to visually ID to know? I can pull the pin and measure it, if that helps, but I don't know what the dimension should be. Thoughts?

The lengths vary by manufacturer and age, but for a visual I simply lock the slide open and push the back of the firing pin to flush with the back of the slide and look at the breech face; the factory pin doesn't protrude past the breech, but the extended one does.

How much should it stick out? Just barely?
