DEP44 Posted April 9, 2016 Share Posted April 9, 2016 From what I've read is that light is for 9 and heavy is for 40 and 45 and that recoil masters are not PF specific. Still, I've loaded some .45 185 HP's @ 720fps for my Apeiro and I'm wondering if there is anything that would make an experiment with a light recoil master a bad idea. Thanks! co-exprs Posted April 9, 2016 Share Posted April 9, 2016 To be honest, I migrated away from recoil masters years ago. In my 45's I run a Wolf 14lb spring with 2 coils cut off. This provides the recoil feel of a 12lb spring, with the feed reliability of a 14lb. With 2 coils removed, the spring lasts longer too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As for the experiment itself, the verdict is in: I swapped back from the light RM to heavy after 5 rounds. Way more pleasant to shoot - less violent.
