Gunnar
So obviously the old general rule of thumb is to not monopod off of the magazine. But we all end up doing it and it doesn't cause a lot of issues. My method is to come straight down and to lean into the rifle which pushes the bottom of the mag to the rear. This seems to cause less drag on the mag body itself and I was taught to lean into the rifle while using bipods. However, I would like to know how other people perform this task. rboyes
As long as your sights are steady, how you monopod on the magazine doesn't matter. If you have a mag that doesn't feed when monopodding then I would get rid of it.
Scottie
I agree with rboyes about throwing out the bad magazine. I monopod all the time and never had a malfunction from it so I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how you go about it.
