lhoward762
I've loaded tens of thousands of 115gr, 124gr, and a thousand 100gr bullets for 9mm using HP-38/W231 and Bullseye. I'm working on new loads of 9mm 100 gr. X-Treme with Titegroup, starting at 4.5 gr. going up to 5.0 gr. Has anyone loaded lighter and still had 100% reliability and lockback? I'm shooting a stock G17 (GSSF and Speed Steel). Thanks, Lucas
Targetpractice
Just out of curiousity, why do you wanna run such a light bullet in your glock?
lhoward762
Recoil is fairly mild, off hand at 25 yards they are grouping around 2.5"-3.0" when using bullseye, and they are cheap. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
lhoward762
My 17 and 19 group tighter with bullets 124gr and lighter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Targetpractice
Only reason I ask is because generally the people that run that light of a bullet, they do it for the bigger powder charge to make more gas for the compensator. On a stock glock, a combo like that usually makes more muzzle flip.
lhoward762
It's just a hair more flip than 124 gr over 4.5gr HP-38. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
MWP
Given the same power factor, the heaviest bullets have the least recoil. Not sure what bullets you're using, but using xtremes as the example, it's roughly only 6-7$ savings per thousand to shoot 100grs over 147s. That said, 3.0gr titegroup gives me 830fps at 1.100. That's all I had from my notes before I moved on to another project.
