assaultthesalt
To convert my Marauder to 40.....all I should have to do is fit a 40 slide and change magazines....is this correct ?
Rob1125
You would also need a barrel, extractor, and possibly and ejector.
bigbob21
I saw a video on YouTube from atlas gunworks... Adam says you can change calibers by swapping out the breach face (SVI) and barrels of course. I'm sure there's fitting required of the new barrel, but he did the swap in the video in less than 3 minutes. Rob1125
The interchangeable breach face is unique to SVI slides. Being an STI products, the Maruader does not have this feature.
assaultthesalt
What I mean is.....complete 40 slide , fitted to my STI 2011 frame/grip.
Rob1125
You may have to change the ejector in the frame if you are installing a complete top end.
assaultthesalt
Is there a ejector that will work with both 9 & 40 ? Kinda would just like to change out topend whenever I want to run Major.I use my Marauder for 3 Gun,tactical training and IDPA so shooting 9 is more cost efficient. But Major will help my scoring when running USPSA. Mbauer67
Just buy another gun, that way you a true backup. Understanding it costs more, there are plenty of guys who shoot 40'in 3 gun.
bigbob21
I've been looking into this myself... As I'm looking into buying a 2011 in the future. (Learned how they do it on SV vs STI guns from rob up there) I have read a few posts regarding 3 gun, people say they just down-load their .40 to minor power factor for 3 gun and they like it a lot. I might do this as well soon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Edited March 17, 2016 by bigbob21
