ForrestB Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Does anyone have a good steel load for the 45 acp they would like to share? I use clays for IPSC, but any other powders a perfectly fine. SmittyFL Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 I used to use 3.5 of clays with that bullet loaded to 1.255 for steel. I used the same load in a 1911 and SW625 It's very soft though for outer limits at the challenge you need to aim a little high. I got large variations in velocity due to the small amount of powder in a huge case, but accuracy was more than sufficient for steel matches.
