sandboy Posted February 20, 2016 Share Posted February 20, 2016 When shooting USPSA production with the Extreme Stock II, how does one begin the course of fire? Since there is no decocker, how does one shoot DA? Can one shoot it with safety on or does it need to be decked manually at the beginning of each stage? I am thinking about getting one of these because I have shot one and it is super nice, however I do not understand how to begin a course. Will someone please clear this up for me? Some use the two-finger "pinch" method, some put their thumb under the hammer and roll it forward. It's very easy and nothing to be afraid of, just go slow and be deliberate. johnbu Posted February 20, 2016 Share Posted February 20, 2016 Manually lower the hammer while pulling the trigger. Rules don't allow for production division to start SA. Different methods abound. I put my finger between the hammer and firing pin, thumb on the outside. If I "slip" there might be a sore finger, but no DQ. It isn't a biggie, but does deserve concentration.
