Guninhand
While trying to develope 2 inch 12ga buckshot loads that would function a Benelli M90, I tried using Ballistic Products X12X wads. After a lot of developement all I got were unreliable loads...bloopers...which would fail to cycle every 7 or 9 rounds. Recovered wads from failures all showed gas blow-by. It seems as if with the absence of a cushioning component on the wad, there is too much load inertia to allow the wad to make a good seal. If I use an Active T-35 wad, the load combo works, (although the hull is pimpled because of the reduced space) seemingly because the little cushion plus longitudinal petal strength keep the seal from being tipped or cut through. T-35s with the petals cut off blooped like the X12X. I was not using the hulls or the type of buckshot Ballistic Products recommends. Has anyone used these X12X wads in 2 inch hulls successfully? Any other tips on 2 inch hull loads appreciated. Guninhand
