6mmppc
Hello every one, Im a competitive benchrest shooter with two teen sons who shoot competitive high power. My youngest, 14, is starting to shoot action pistol. We have two 5 inch 1911's in .45acp. Im looking for some advise on bullet size and starting loads, (im a big VV powder fan) would like to try some plated bullets. I do a lot of reloading now so I dont have a lot of time to experiment but do take the time to develope a load. I chrono everything we shoot. Any other advice would be helpfull. Thanks to all, Bob
dshooter3
When I started to shoot IPSC with a 45 I was using a 185 moly coated swc made by precision bullits over 6.3 grain of unique. This load has a pf of 170. I was shooting this load in a Kimber, it will hold 1.5" to 2" all day long. I hope this helps
