XL650 Casefeed Issue

Recommended Posts

i just finished a caliber conversion from 9mm to 45acp. Now the casefeed arm is not lining up with the casefeed bushing (medium) so cases are not falling. Looks like the slide cam is not pushing the casefeed arm enough to make the alignment. What adjustments should be made to fix it?

Thanks.

Did you perform the actions from Step 16 (page 40) in the manual for caliber conversions. I think the cam adjustment not only pushes the case into location 1 but also activities the mechanism that drops the case from the feeder. Also, I think if you over tighten that nut at the top it could interfere with the smooth functioning of that lever.

Loosen the slide cam bolt and move the cam toward the shell plate as far as it will go and tighten the bolt as much as you are comfortable with. In my limited experience, the tighter the better. This seems to work for everything I load. Up to six different calibers so far.
