Canine582
I'm sorry but I got it all wrong. Will a 230 gr. XTreme RN with 5.5 gr. of 231 give me power factor. Thanks Edited November 11, 2014 by Canine582
Bwana Six-Gun
According to Hogdon's Reloading site, that would be over the maximum load. They list 5.3 as a max load for both Jacketed and lead. That being said, I have found that their loads are always under the velocities they list in my revolvers, both 625 and 25. Canine582
Again, I'm sorry for not having my powders correct. I meant to ask, will a 230 gr. XTreme RN with 5.5 gr. of Winchester 231 make enough power factor. Not Bullseye powder.
Artsville
4.9 or 5gr will make major in a 5" barrel. However WST will be a much better powder for 45.
Canine582
Thanks Artsville, I have 300 loaded and I'm going to a all day intro. to IDPA this weekend. I'll be studying more in the future on what does make power. Thanks again
