"Old Friends on Stage"

I bought this during the Christmas holidays (it took quite a bit for it to cross the pond, I guess).

I have always greatly enjoyed their music, and was more than pleased to see they released a CD of the live tour they did in 2004 (I missed the concert in Rome, damn... ).

If you happen to buy it, you'll hear all of their great hits completely re-arranged and sung by the voices of two newly found friends.

Perhaps, the funniest part of this whole double CD is in CD #1, between tracks 6 & 8, and between tracks 8 & 10, where Simon and Garfunkel look over their long-troubled relationship, by saying something like:

G: "this year is going to be the 50th anniversary of our friendship..."

S: "...and since we started debating right after the beginning, this year is going to be the 49th anniversary of our arguing..."

S: "...but now we don't argue anymore...we just say -that's your opinion...and I respect that!".

Great way to look over the years of arguing from two old friends...
