SISIG
Which is a better value between the two. Why does the target if designated for competition have no extended Fp.
trgt
For USPSA I'd think the 2014 shadow black is the better value as-is. Seems like you'd want the custom 2014 black to get the parts they say are new for 2014 - ext firing ping - short reset trigger You could have the LPA sight and milling added for $210 ... conversely you can probably have the ext firing pin and short reset added to the target as well. Just depends on what combination of things are more valuable to you? > why .. no extended Fp probably just how they bundled the features to hit price points. You can add more, but price goes up. SISIG
I do like the new parts added with the 2014 shadow. Conversely once you added certain things price goes up for both gun. It will be use for USPSA.
trgt
In my opinion the fixed rear sight is better for USPSA, and not a big deal as long as you don't change your loads a lot. Its wider/easier to pick up front fiber optic and it won't break like the adjustable will.. You could always add a HAJO rear (+ taller front) if you need to adjust for height often. SISIG
The sights are more robust IMHO for the 2014. I had my LPA get out of alignment, good for bullseye not for action pistol.
