This is my first time I've ever laid hands on a compact, for more than a brief moment in passing at a gun show. I just, today, received my Elite Officer 3.5", and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to remove this damned guide rod. It would appear to just depress slightly, then lift up, much like my Berettas do, but it gets into a bind, and then it becomes stuck, with the only option to returning it to installed position.
