Patrick Sweeney
Since my last visit, I have been on vacation. While in Belgium I spent a day at the Belgium Army Museum in Brussels, with the Small arms Curator, in the vaults. I had carte blanche to handle anything and photograph everything. They had racks of FALs, all FN made, (and racks of others, too) You'd be pleased to know that there were scads of FAL Para versions, FALs with long gas systems and short barrels. I asked the curator about them, and he said "Reliable? Of course! You simply adjust the gas system! That is why it is there!"
Dead Buff
Oh, you make me so envious.... The FN FAL I wanted to buy....the prick sold it to someone else...for LESS...idiot. So now the project is on hold until I can find another. How's shipping and exporting from the states to the dark continent?
Patrick Sweeney
Without an export certificate from the US State department, nothing happens.
SJ
Took a pic tonight of my 3-gunnin' (and everything else FAL), thought I might share. US Optics SN-4 scope (1-4x) and US Armaments topcover. Someday when I have another shorter FAL I will use that (no, I'm not cutting this original Belgian, although I do shoot the heck out of it). Please forgive the crappy colors in these pics.
