Range Day with Mom

My Mom finally decided she needed to learn how to shoot.  The last time I went home, we went to the range and she did all right.  Of course, I ended up going home *without* my mint condition Colt Woodsman, much to my chagrin.  Well, at least Mom has good taste.

Today was our second trip to the range.  It started out a little rough, but after the second magazine she was ripping out the center of the target with nice, careful, slow fire.  I took a turn shooting (ahem) *her* Woodman and decided to see just how fast I could unload that puppy.  You could see the light go on.  That was all Mom needed to see.  From then on out she wailed through magazines faster than I could load them.  Most of the shots were still tearing out the very center.  

It cracks me up.  Day two and she's already watching the front sight bob up and down and triggering it as soon as she sees a good sight picture.  A little self-confidence and a lot more practice and she's going to be dangerous.  

Tomorrow, we go sign her up for the CCW.
