Rifleshooter24 Posted October 29, 2013 Share Posted October 29, 2013 Maybe the FNX just fits your hand better in terms of size, grip angle, etc. You are also talking about two completely different trigger mechanisms (striker vs Da/Sa) and comparing apples to oranges. When I started learning fundamentals, I bought and watched the Art of the Dynamic Handgun DVD's with Costa and Haley of Magpul. They don't teach competitive shooting necessarily, but fundamentals of running a weapon. It was a great starting point for me (grip, recoil control, trigger control, sight picture, malfunction drills and mag changes). I'm no expert, but with this foundation and practicing with some members of my local range, I went from my first ever match to taking production division periodically at my local club in only a few months (USPSA classified B shooter in 8 months).
