johnsons1480
I currently only have one shotshell caddy that holds 8 shells. This past weekend I shot a local match with an all shotgun stage. The COF called for 17 shots if done properly. It consisted of two texas stars, one popper, and 6 plates. I had 9 in the gun, 8 on my belt, and a friend let me borrow a 6 shell caddy. That should have been plenty right? Wrong! The two Texas stars ate my lunch, and I ended up running out of shells with 3 plates not engaged. It didn't occur to me to just throw some shells in my pocket before I started; I guess I figured I had plenty. When I got home I ordered two more caddies, so I hope this won't happen again. I shot the rest of the match well and had a great time doing it, but those 45 seconds of penalties hurt! Moral of the story, come up to the line with plenty of shells!!
