jnshapiro
First off, I hope this is in the right forum! I was flipping through the sports section today reading about the Red Sox, and ran across a short little 3 inch that came from the Chicago Tribune. There was no by-line, so I can't give the author credit. Johnny Damon has called his team a bunch of "idiots." He says that the key to their success has been eliminating thinking. The salient point is in the last paragraph which I'm going to quote here: Now us overcoming that deficit with the Yankees, us not being very smart, us just playing baseball, I mean, that's the bottom line. We try to eliminate the thinking, and we've tried to let our natural abilities take over. Now that is really a brilliant statement and the key to high levels of performance in sports. Don't think. Just do what you've taught your body to do. I thought this interesting enough to post. Joel
