Dead Buff Posted October 22, 2004 Share Posted October 22, 2004 Last year I (blonde) replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive double-pane, energy efficient ones. This week I got a call from the contractor, who complained that I had not yet paid for them. Boy oh boy, did we go around! Just because I'm blonde doesn't mean I am automatically stupid. So I proceeded to tell him just what his fast-talking sales guy had told me last year...... that in one year "the windows would pay for themselves". Anyway, I should have known better since my grandfather served in the italian army during WWII in Africa's war and was taken prisoner by the british army there. Too bad he died in 1970, when I was only 3, I'd have loved to hear his tales. I guess since I had to search for the correct answer, it will be your honor to educate us.
