Mikey50
If you want to pull-up the particulars you can punch in, (moose in powerlines) in your browser I would post the site but the news paper would only let me in once before they wanted me to register. The gist of the story is a power company in Alaska is stirnging power line. They string several miles at a time and then pull it tight with a big wench. While pulling it tight they feel something wrong with the lines and send someone back to check. A moose has gotten it's antlers hung in the wires and is hanging 50 feet in the air. Yeah, it's sad but I can't help but laugh

mpolans
What I want to know is, Was the Moose still alive?Ivan Moose was still alive. It was only up for a few minutes. There were thoughts of sedating it to let it go, but the folks on the scene figured it might die of shock anyway, so they just shot it. If they had drugged it and it had died anyway, the meat would've been contaminated. So now, someone is getting something like 1200lbs. of bull moose meat. SiG Lady
"...and then pull it tight with a big wench. " Small women need not apply for this job. I think that's a "winch" they're using (to strangle the moose).
