CZ Recoil Spring Length...

I just replaced the two year old Wolff 14 lb. recoil spring in my 9x19 CZ-75B with a 16 lb. one by the same maker. There was a lot more difference in length than I thought there would be due to the setting of the older one. It actually took some creative language to get the new one to fit without binding. :o It's currently in the safe with the slide locked back to encourage the new spring to take a set.

About how long will it take before this thing gets to be a "usable" length?

Here is a question, almost everyone fits 1911's by triming a loop or two, but does anyone trim CZ springs?

As far as I can tell the Wolff CZ springs take a set iof about 2 loops shorter and then stay there, which doesn't make much of a difference when it comes to how it fits.
