Roscoe09292010
I shoot my stock 9mm Eagle 5.0 in IDPA. Shot it for the first time on a Friday, took it to a match in Sunday. I have 4 factory/stock mags (126); all I do is shoot and clean the gun; not a single hiccup in the couple months I've been shooting it; love it. jason237m
Though I suggested an SVI, I've also had an STI Eagle for many years now. The only problem I've ever had was when I wore the extracter out, and it decided to make it known to me during a major match. I put in an Aftec extracter 2 or 3 years ago and haven't had a hiccup since. I've done a few other things to mine as well. I put in the cylinder and slide ultra match set hammer, sear, disconect and and SVI trigger bow. The trigger is amazing now. Also, the bluing was pretty much completely gone after about 4 years of heavy use so I had it hard chromed. I would also suggest Dawson wedge base pads, especially if you have a magwell. Overall I have loved my Eagle. Edited March 12, 2013 by jason237m
