1911Prof Posted February 27, 2013 Share Posted February 27, 2013 I am contemplating a new build and want some information on barrel length (please, no Freudian comments). I started shooting open with a Hardy open gun (4.25") and liked it but didn't like the load limitations to 9 mm major and have been shooting a full size 38 super for the last couple of years. I am now working on a new build and want to go with a shorter gun. Specifically i am curious about peoples experiences with a 4.25" barrel vs. a 4.5" barrel.
