kneelingatlas
I'm thinking I can open up the crown just enough for a nice tight fit and I should get the effect of a custom fit bull barrel, has anyone tried this?
greyarea
I have and ended up having to turn down the barrel as there was a fit problem on the shroud on the slide. It is doable though.
kneelingatlas
I finally did it!!! I ended up with a Jericho 941 minus a barrel so rather than go the easy route (buy a small frame barrel and drop it in) I decided to buy a large frame barrel and MAKE IT FIT! I figured I would get a super tight slide to barrel fit which would result in greater accuracy and a heavy bull barrel effect, soaking up some recoil like a Stock II.Let's start by saying this was a STUPID IDEA and I will never do it again. Now that that's out of the way, the pistol shot and grouped well, albeit not noticeably more accurate than before. Shooting it side by side with my 75B and my T120, it seemed softer (heavier for sure!), but the true test will be shooting it side by side with the frame safety Jericho I have in the mail.I guess you can call it a success because I still have all my fingers and a fully functioning pistol, but that was WAAAY too much work for very little gain. I guess what I really want is a Stock II or Limited Pro in 9mm... keep dreaming...
