Nik Habicht Posted September 22, 2004 Share Posted September 22, 2004 Do you have to hang on to the light they give you?The last time I shot a"dark" stage, I turned the light on, and left it on the ground. Had enough light to spot the targets, and point shot them. On that stage, Yes. Letting the light dangle on the lanyard wasn't an option --- due to safety concerns, the light was required to remain in the shooter's hand, according to the stage description. I'm much happier shooting the low light stages at the IDPA Winter Nats; the range layout at the S&W Academy permits the shooter's to often remain in dimly lit areas, while the targets are buried in inky black shadows. The Safety Officers can easily observe the shooter, even if the shooter switches off his light.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
