Chuck D
Question: I have a 6 inch 686-7 that I want to use in both IPSC and USPSA Revolver Division. I like the handling characteristics of a 5 inch gun. To do this one must "chop off" an inch off the front of the barrel and re-mount the front sight thereby modifying the way the front sight is mounted to the barrel. Is this legal for both IPSC and USPSA Revolver Division? I'd like to use the Weigand front sight mounting kit that requires a mill cut in the front of the barrel and allows you the option of changing front sight blades to different styles and widths. Thanks in advance for the info !
Round_Gun_Shooter
If I read the rules correctly, the answer would be no for revolver division. It has to be "Factory Standard" and I do not know of a 5" 686. Regards,
